This site was built to inform the public about the recent decision by DFO to close the Rescue Sub Centers in Quebec and St. John's and amalgamate them with JRCC Halifax and Trenton. The Canadian Coast Guard proposes to cut staff that plan and manage Search and Rescue in Eastern and Central Canada in HALF. Please take the time to inform yourself on the impacts of these decisions.
